Important Information Regarding Your Stay

Dear Camper,

Several months ago there was catastrophic flooding in our region and Jellystone Park™ Glen Ellis suffered major damage. We have been working tirelessly to get the camp-resort back in order for the 2024 season. Although we were on track to achieve this goal, there have been several unintended hurdles (notably governmental permitting and weather) that resulted in delays that unfortunately impact your upcoming stay.

We regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to accommodate your camping trip at Glen Ellis this season.

This message comes with a heavy heart and not without exhausting every effort to avoid this worst case scenario. It has been hard to see the damage this beautiful property endured and even more difficult to be unable to serve our valued guests this year, but we are determined to build back better and to welcome you, should you choose, in the future.

It is important to note that the entire camp-resort is not impacted, only certain sections. However, there is very little to no availability during your stay to be able to move you elsewhere.

We would prefer to call each guest and work through a solution to ensure that every option is pursued to salvage this summer vacation. However, the impact is large and affects multiple guests throughout the season. In an attempt to quickly work through this challenge, we decided the best course of action was to simply cancel your reservation, refund your payments and give you comparable alternatives.

We are fortunate to have two Jellystones in the NE Region willing to accept our displaced guests with open arms. Although we cannot guarantee exact availability for every reservation, it does appear that these parks will be able to accommodate the majority of impacted guests.

Naturally, we do not have protocols in place for this circumstance. However, we have given a lot of thought to how we can seamlessly make this transition knowing that phone call and email volumes will be unmanageably high and that we will be unable to work through specific solutions for each individual guest in the short term. Please read on for next steps.

Cancellation and Potential Booking Alternatives -

  • Your reservation will automatically be canceled and you will receive a full refund process back to your original method of payment.

  • If you would like to camp at Glen Ellis Jellystone Park™, there is limited, sporadic availability throughout the 2024 season. We encourage you to browse online HERE with the flexible calendar to see when there may be availability.

  • While we can not accommodate you, we’ve worked with other area Jellystones to offer an alternative. Knowing that call volumes to these locations will also be high and that urgency to secure a site will also be high, we want to offer assistance. If you would like to shift your reservation to one of these other parks, please complete THIS form.

  • Lakes Region Jellystone Park™ - https://lakesregionjellystone.com/

  • Cranberry Acres Jellystone Park™ - https://cranberryacresjellystonepark.com/
*A pencil-in means we’ll take care of creating your booking if there is availability and will send you a secure link to remit payment. The pencil-in will expire one week from booking.

  • Additionally, S.O. Saco Old Orchard Beach and S.O. Old Orchard Beach Downtown are great options in the region that have availability. Feel free to contact them directly at 888-886-2477.

Rebooking for 2025 -

  • We understand that many of our guests book year-over-year for the same time. If you would like to secure your original booking for 2025, please complete THIS form. A pencil-in reservation will be created for you with the corresponding dates (i.e. Friday 7/26/24 - Sunday 7/29/24 would be  Friday 7/25/25 - 7/28/25). Your pencil-in will need to be claimed with a deposit by your original departure date (i.e. Sunday 7/29/24).

PLEASE DO NOT CALL the park directly with related questions until at least May 1, 2024.

Questions -

  • If you have any questions, please reply to the email you received from us and we will be happy to assist you. We do expect higher than average call volume and emails and ask for your patience as we navigate this.

We offer our deepest apologies and understand that these are once in a lifetime trips. Although we were unable to avoid the impact to your reservation, we are doing everything we can to make sure you are able to enjoy a comparable experience.
