Keep reading for 5 great things to do in the Mt. Washington Valley area while visiting Jellystone Park™.
Conway Scenic Railroad
If you’ve been to our Camp-Resort just once, then you’re no stranger to the Conway Scenic Railroad. This old-fashioned train regularly departs from it’s station in North Conway to make it’s way through the valley region. It even passes by our Camp-Resort! Next time you’re floating down the Saco in one of our tube rentals, be sure to keep an eye out for this unique locomotive — and wave “hello” to it’s passengers!
Glen Ellis Falls
There are so many beautiful sites to see both inside and outside our Camp-Resort, we couldn’t possibly mention them all. However, we would like to take this time to talk about one of our favorites! Glen Ellis Falls is just a short drive away from camp, and provides an absolutely breathtaking glimpse at the nature of the region. Here you will see a 64 ft waterfall cascading down from a cliff and into a deep green pool before continuing the flow of the Ellis River. You will need to hike to this location, which makes it perfect for an outdoor adventure!

Are you looking for a day of excitement, and maybe a little fantasy? Look no further than Story Land! Story Land is a family-friendly amusement park located just over a mile away from camp. The park features over 30 attractions that anyone can enjoy, and brings many timeless tales to life in a creative way. Hop on the Roar-O-Saurus for a speedy coaster ride, get a sundae at the Dutch Village Ice Cream Shop, or even strike up a conversation with Cinderella (one of the many characters who roam the park).
Matty B’s Mountainside Cafe
While we’re planning to have a brand new food truck at our Camp-Resort this season, it’s also fun to get out and explore what the area has to offer. If we may make a suggestion — Matty B’s Cafe is our go-to spot for family dining! Just 5 minutes away from Jellystone Park™, Matty B’s offers a satisfying menu in a cool setting. Enjoy a slice of pizza while looking out towards Attitash and Bear Peak Mountains!
